Ice cream and supporting a good cause — two things almost everyone loves. Costa Mesa Senior Center wants to give you what you love the weekend of Sept. 2-3. The center will be selling ice cream at Bob’s Old-Fashioned Ice Cream at the Orange County Market Place all day starting at 8 a.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward activities at the center. CAREGIVERS SUPPORT

A support group for caregivers, sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Assn. Orange County Chapter, meets from 1 to 3 p.m. every first and third Thursday of the month at Harbor Trinity Church, 1230 Baker St., Costa Mesa. Call: (714) 593-9630.
