Beautification Council to meet Sept. 11

The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Beautification Council will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, in the Conference Room at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave.

The Beautification Council was organized in 1950 by Harry Lawrence to retain the Village atmosphere by enhancing the beauty and cleanliness of Laguna Beach. Hundreds of major and minor civic projects have been accomplished by the group — at little or no cost to taxpayers.

Chamber September mixer

The rooftop lounge at La Casa del Camino will be the location for the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce’s September mixer, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20.

La Casa del Camino is located at 1289 So. Coast Highway.

Realty Affiliates raise money for charitable use

The Affiliates of the Laguna Board of Realtors®-sponsored mixer Aug.17 at Savoury’s raised $3,500 for the group’s Charitable Assistance Fund. The fund is for the benefit of any Realtor® or Affiliate member that needs financial assistance due to hardship.

Barry Elms of Prudential California Realty won the Grand Prize, a cruise to Mexico for two persons donated by the Affiliates of the Board. Diana Redman from West Coast Escrow won a weekend in Palm Springs along with dinner for two donated by Patrick Zellar with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

A $100 gift certificate donated by Valerie Acevez with American Home Shield was won by the Share Team, and a $100 gift certificate to Roy’s in Newport Beach was won by Jerry Legris with Legris Team Real Estate.
