Bible studies at Presbyterian Church

Laguna Presbyterian Church offers several different Bible studies and invites the public to join in.

Dr. Jerry Tankersley, senior pastor, and Biblical Scholar, teaches on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. in the church library, and again on Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. in Tankersley Hall. Typically, he explores Biblical passages from which he preaches on the following Sunday. No registration is required, admission is free and newcomers are welcome any time.

Walking With God is a small group study, ideal for anyone with questions about God or for those wishing to explore the Christian Faith.

Friendship With God is the title of the first of three 13-week series. Church member Alice Jensen will facilitate the meetings at 6 p.m. in the Blue House located behind the church, beginning Thursday, Sept. 14. A registration fee for materials is $15.

Disciple 1 is a nine-month introduction and overview of both the Old and New Testaments in a small group format. It is designed for those seeking in-depth study and who will join in a retreat in June. Meetings are scheduled on Wednesday evenings starting Sept. 20, and a morning class may be added. Child care can be arranged. A $45 materials fee is required at registration.
