WANDA SCHWARZE

Services are scheduled for Tuesday in Costa Mesa for longtime city resident Wanda Schwarze.

She was born Oct. 21, 1916, in Belaire, Ohio. Schwarze was a homemaker who was involved in several ministries at St. Joachim Catholic Church, including the early childhood ministry, Divine Mercy, and Catholic Daughters. She also received the Betty Crocker award, and she lived in Costa Mesa for 50 years.

Schwarze died Sept. 11 of a stroke. She was 89.

She is survived by a son, James Schwarze; a daughter Joan Faulkner; and four grandchildren.

A rosary is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, to be followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 1964 Orange Ave., Costa Mesa.
