NORWALK — Freshman Jacqi Reed blasted a team-high 23 kills to lead the Pirates to a 30-21, 30-24, 22-30, 30-27 nonconference victory over Cerritos on Wednesday.

Freshman Chelsea Spadaro dished out 52 assists and Ashlee Moon had 29 digs for Orange Coast (5-0).

LOS ANGELES — The host Lions prevailed, 30-26, 27-30, 30-23, 30-14, to drop the Anteaters to 3-9.

Lauren Kellerman had a team-high 17 kills for UCI.

Kristin Kelley had 14 kills and McCall Miller added 10 for the Anteaters, who received 44 assists from Taryn Robertson.

Devon Sutherland led the visitors with 18 digs.

LMU improves to 12-2.

COSTA MESA — Drew Soria had two goals to lead six Pirates’ scorers in the Orange Empire Conference game Wednesday.

Kevin Hardesty made 11 saves for OCC, which improved to 8-1, 2-0 in conference.

Roverside fell to 5-5, 1-1.
