Hoops league at Boys & Girls Club

Registration for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach Boys’ Basketball League is being taken through Sept. 29. The league is open to boys grades kindergarten through eighth.

The Basketball League fee is $85 per player and includes a new uniform. A $10 late fee will apply to registration taken after the Sept. 29th deadline. If a parent or guardian of a child is interested in coaching a team, please complete the application while registering your child. League sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Practices begin in November and the season starts in December following the completion of the AYSO fall soccer season. All participants must be a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach. Club Membership fee is $135 per year for youth ages six to 18 and includes access to more than 30 club after school programs at the Main Branch, including Power Hour Homework Help, JazzMasters and Photo Club.

Registration is being taken at Boys & Girls Clubs’ Main Branch at 1085 Laguna Canyon Road. No mail or e-mail registration is being accepted.

Cardio Tennis in Laguna Beach

Cardio Tennis, a new group tennis activity that combines tennis with a high-energy cardio-vascular workout, is being offered in Laguna Beach.

For co-ed 3.0-4.0 players, the class is offered each at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Laguna Beach High tennis courts. For 4.0-5.0 players, classes are Monday and/or Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Laguna Beach High courts.
