Laguna 12-U team beats Sea Cliff

The Laguna Beach Breakers’ 12-and-Under junior tennis team won six of nine sets to defeat Sea Cliff, 38-29.

At No. 1 singles, Katelyn Walsh defeated Garrett Moretta 6-2, Adrien Azera won 6-1 over Sam Lecocq, Dino Romeo beat Paige Taylor 6-1, Sofia Lavin was a 6-2 winner over Laurel Benson 6-2 and Noah Blanton defeated Nicole Salisbury, 6-1. Also in singles play, Jordan Lomonaco, playing her first-ever match, fell 6-0 to Noah Nelson.

In No. 1 doubles action, Romeo and Blanton defeated Nelson/Lecocq, 6-4 but Lavin/Pennington fell to Moretta/Taylor, 6-2.

Laguna forfeited at the No. 3 doubles match.

Laguna suffered a 9-0 loss to Citrus Glen, the top team in the division.
