Huntington had lost its previous eight games to Baldwin Park but managed to tie the previously unbeaten Bruins on a muddy, wet field.

The Oilers overcame an early Baldwin Park touchdown to pull even when Matt Oakley used the blocking of Grant Lowman, Nati Fineassu and Eli Cabaccang to score on a 50-yard run.

Aaron Bailey recovered a fumble in the second quarter to stop a Baldwin Park drive and the Oilers came up with the biggest stop of the game late in the fourth quarter.

With 2:35 left on the clock, the Bruins had a first- and-goal situation at the Huntington 10-yard line. But a strong defensive stand by Matt Patterson, Brandon Graves, Jesse Oleson and Nick Tricarico stifled the potential game-winning drive, which ended with a fumble recovery by Lucas Jeffries.

Dusty Stewart, Trevor Jackson and Danny Maguire also came up with touchdown-saving tackles for Huntington.
