Home ransacked, burglarized

A home on the 31500 block of Bluff Drive was broken into while the resident was away, and $20,000 in jewelry and other items were stolen, Laguna Beach Police Det. Sgt. Darin Lenyi said.

The house was ransacked during the burglary, which occurred sometime between Oct. 6 and Oct. 8.

Police investigating alleged rape

A Laguna Beach woman alleged to police that she had been forcibly raped two years earlier “” when she was a minor “” by a friend at a party, Lenyi said.

The woman came forward after her alleged assailant contacted her after two years.

Police are investigating the allegation.
