Orange Coast def. Saddleback

MISSION VIEJO — Kiwi Winkler recorded 12 kills to lead the Pirates to a 30-12, 30-13, 30-14 Orange Empire Conference victory Friday.

Jen Chiffer, Jacqi Reed and Jessica Roy added 10 kills, Angela Roberts finished with 27 assists and Jill Soren produced 11 digs for OCC (13-1, 6-1 in conference).

COSTA MESA — Dave Barnett finished a pass from Dave Barnett in the 82nd minute to give the Pirates the Orange Empire Conference tie.

Goalkeeper Alex Roberts recorded four saves for the Orange Coast (6-6-4, 2-3-3 in conference).

Riverside is now 5-7-1, 3-4-1.

OCC returns to action Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Santiago Canyon.

RIVERSIDE — Sophomore goalkeeper Erin Henry recorded eight saves in the Anteaters Big West Conference loss Friday.

UC Irvine dropped to 3-11-1, 0-5 in conference.

The Anteaters return to action Sunday at No. 20 Long Beach State at 1:00 p.m. at George Allen Field.
