Central team divisional

YUCAIPA — Freshman Allie Thomas led Newport Harbor High with a 16-over-par 88 at the team Central Divisional of the Sectional CIF Championship Monday at Yucaipa Valley Golf Course.

The Sailors shot 460 as a team to finish 10th in the 29-team field. The top four teams advanced to the Southern Section Regional.

Junior Kendall Horn (89), freshman Lauren Draganza (89), freshman Morgan Moody (93) and sophomore Brittney Phillips (99) also scored for the Sailors, who posted a regular-season record of 11-5-2, 7-3 in the Sunset League.

Newport Harbor 18, Marina 0

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Junior Alex McIntosh’s sweep in singles lead the Sailors in the Sunset League match that wrapped up the regular season Monday.

McIntosh, who is 19-3 on the season, won 18 of 20 games.

The senior duo of Chrissy Schwartz and Sahsa Dunlap swept to improve to 20-1 for the Sailors (10-5, 6-4 in league). Newport finished third in league.
