FULLERTON — Kiwi Winkler notched 19 kills in the Pirates’ 30-26, 30-27, 30-27 Orange Empire Conference victory Wednesday.

Joanna Johnson added 11 kills, Jennifer Schiffer nine and Ashley Moon contributed 19 digs for OCC. Chelsea Spadaro amassed 43 assists for the Pirates (16-1, 9-1 in conference).

OCC will play host to rival Golden West for the OEC title Friday at 6 p.m.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Jessica Richter scored a team-high 16 points in the Lions’ exhibition loss Wednesday.

Vanguard’s Kelly Schmidt added 15 points and eight rebounds in front of 7,693 at The Pit.

Vanguard plays at Arizona State for another exhibition game Monday at 7 p.m.
