SCHOOL LUNCH MENU

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot entree. Here’s what’s being served this week:TODAY: Munchable lunch salad with fruit yogurt or grilled cheese sandwich on whole grain bread, baby carrots with ranch dip, diced pears, choice of milk

WEDNESDAY: No school except at Newport Coast and Whittier Elementary, which will serve a “manager’s choice” with vegetable, fruit and choice of milk

THURSDAY: Vegetarian health sandwich or two soft tacos (ground turkey), lettuce, salsa and cheese, diced peaches, animal snackers, choice of milk

FRIDAY: Munchable lunch salad or chicken nuggets, seasoned corn, fresh fruit, baked nacho cheese Doritos, choice of milk

MONDAY: Munchable lunch salad or two mini-cheeseburgers, lettuce and pickles, fresh fruit, choice of milk
