An Orange County jury found one of four people accused of killing a Newport Beach couple on their yacht guilty of two counts of murder this afternoon.
Jennifer Henderson-Deleon was found guilty of first degree murder with special circumstances for financial gain. She was accused of helping her husband, Skylar Deleon, and two other men, Alonso Machain and John Fitzgerald Kennedy, kill Tom and Jackie Hawks in order to take the couple’s money.
Prosecutors are seeking life imprisonment for Henderson-Deleon. The three men are scheduled to go to trial next year.
