If not, you missed a tremendous night of basketball last Tuesday at the Bren Center on the UC Irvine campus.

Yes, it’s the same game that last week we insisted everyone go check out because the University of South Carolina was coming to town, the first time a team from the vaunted Southeastern Conference had played at UCI.

Heck, it just might be the last after the whopping the Anteaters put on the not-so-mighty Gamecocks of USC. Behind a balanced offense that had four players netting double figures, UCI downed South Carolina, 67-52.

It was a great turnaround for a team that had not come out of the gates terribly strong. But any early hurting for the season evaporated into the Bren Center’s air.

And you could have been there if you had listened to us last week.
