Orange Coast 67, Citrus 38

SAN LUIS OBISPO — Lindsey Allen scored 13 points and Courtney Ford added 12 as the Pirates cruised to a 67-38 victory over Citrus in the first round of the Cuesta Tournament Thursday.

Christina Calcagno, an OCC freshman, added 10 points. Freshman Rachel Maulit contributed eight points for the Pirates.

Orange Coast (5-2) will resume action today at 5:30 p.m.

NORWALK — Pirates’ center Steven Cornett had game-highs of 25 points and 14 rebounds, leading Orange Coast College to an easy nonconference victory Wednesday at Cerritos College.

Guard Diego Delgado had 13 points, including a trio of three-pointers, and seven rebounds for the Pirates (4-3). Cameron Wise also had 13 points, and Shaun Eagle added 11 and a team-high eight assists.

For the game, Orange Coast shot 56.1%, while the Falcons (3-4) shot just 32.3%. Demetrius Turner paced Cerritos with 17 points.

Orange Coast plays host to Miramar today at 5 p.m.
