COSTA MESA — Five different players scored goals for the Eagles as they cruised to a nonleague victory Wednesday.
George Olivas, Toney Flores, Hector Gomez, Luis Guerrero and Robert Abarca scored goals for Estancia (2-2-1).
Denny Perdomo, Chuey Garcia, Edgar Rodriguez and Robert Abarca contributed one assist each. Flores’ goal came unassisted.
The Eagles host Edison, the No. 6-ranked team in CIF Southern Section Division I, on Friday.
Newport Harbor 2, University 1
NEWPORT BEACH — Evan Walker scored on a penalty kick and Ulises Vega scored the game-winner in the 68th minute to lead the Sailors to a nonleague victory Wednesday.
Walker assisted on Vega’s goal. Newport Harbor (2-2) next plays at Fullerton on Friday at 5 p.m.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Costa Mesa 2, Beckman 0
IRVINE — The Mustangs won their first game of the season posting a nonleague shutout on Wednesday.
Ayla Medina and Kaily Carich each scored for the Mustangs (1-4-3), while goalkeeper Katie Finn made four saves. Beckman dropped to 7-2.
“Two of the saves were outstanding,” Costa Mesa Coach Dan Johnston said. “It’s the first game we played all year where we had a total team effort. They’re on their way back.”

ANAHEIM — Jamie McGee scored a game-high 21 points and also grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lightning to a win in the first pool-play game at the Husky Invitational at Fairmont Prep on Wednesday.
Nick Witte added 13 points, five assists and four steals for Sage Hill School (3-4), which will play Upland Christian today at 6 p.m.

Larry Puente finished with 12 points and Tommy Duong added 11 for Costa Mesa (5-2).
