The following is from the daily log of the Laguna Beach Police Dept. from Wednesday, Dec. 6, through Tuesday, Dec. 12. It is presented in reverse order of occurrence.
TUESDAY
Temple Hills: At 5:43 p.m., fraudulent use of a credit card was reported on the 1900 block.
MONDAY
So. Coast Highway: At 11:14 p.m., a woman claiming to have seen robbers was taken to South Coast Medical Center after reportedly refusing to leave a market on the 100 block.
Forest Avenue: At 8:46 p.m., a man in his 70s with chest pains was given medical assistance at a shopping plaza on the 300 block.
No. Coast Highway: At 7:21 p.m., a tool was reported taken from a tow truck on the 100 block.
Driftwood Drive: At 6:26 p.m., a purse was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 30800 block.
Ocean Avenue: At 6:26 p.m., fraudulent use of an ATM card, with a total of $700 stolen during four incidents, was reported on the 200 block.
Glenneyre Street: At 1:33 p.m., a truck reportedly rolled down the street and struck a light pole and was towed at the intersection of St. Ann’s Drive.
Diamond Street: At 11:33 a.m., two men were transported to Mission Hospital with moderate injuries after falling off a roof on the 600 block.
Fisherman’s Cove: At 9:12 a.m., a man was taken to South Coast Medical Center who had been observed in a sleeping bag since Friday in the cove area on the 700 block.
SUNDAY
Sleepy Hollow Lane: At 4:11 a.m., a woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance on the 600 block.
No. Coast Highway: At 1:41 a.m., a Coto de Caza woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being stopped for allegedly swerving in lanes on the 900 block.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 12:21 a.m., a 39-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a head injury after a traffic accident at Big Bend.
So. Coast Highway: At 12:19 a.m., two men were reported fighting outside a restaurant on the 1200 block.
SATURDAY
Coast Highway: At 10:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man was reported in the hospital for treatment after an alleged beating with fists and a lighted cigarette to the eye at Aliso Creek beach on the 31100 block.
Lagunita Drive: At 7:28 p.m., a fire was reported due to an electrical problem at a multilevel structure on the 0 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 7:07 p.m., a motel operator reported being defrauded by someone who did not pay for a second night’s stay and using a stolen credit card on the 1600 block.
Forest Avenue: At 3:18 p.m., a Newport Beach man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness on the 400 block.
Coast Highway: At 3:06 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a home on at McAuley Place.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 1 p.m., medical aid was given to a man in his 70s at an art festival on the 900 block.
Coast Highway: At 12:27 p.m., a wall sculpture valued at $1,800 was reported stolen from an outside wall at a shop on the 1400 block.
High Drive: At 10:51 a.m., a TV was reported stolen in a burglary in which entry was made through a side door of a home on the 300 block.
Coast Highway: AT 5:40 A.M., a security guard was reported struck on the nose during an incident involving four to five men from 17 to 25 years old at a hotel on the 30800 block.
Ocean Avenue: At 12:39 a.m., a Trabuco Canyon man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly striking a victim on the head with a bottle in an alley on the 200 block.
FRIDAY
Cliff Drive: At 9:11 p.m., a Huntington Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI on the 200 block.
Park Avenue: At 6:54 p.m., a 60-year-old man was given medical aid after reportedly suffering a diabetic reaction at a high school on the 600 bock.
Forest Avenue: At 6:17 p.m., a shopkeeper reported that a woman had stolen $500 in clothing on the 300 block.
Cypress Drive: At 5:21 p.m., $1,000 was reported taken by fraud from the checking account of a victim on the 200 block.
Broadway: At 3:57 p.m., five shirts were reported stolen from a shop on the 300 block.
Beach Street: At 2:43 p.m., a pedestrian in a wheelchair was taken to South Coast Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle at Broadway.
Wilson Street: At 3 p.m., an injured hummingbird was reported at a home on the 700 block.
Mcaulay Place: At 2:26 p.m., a car was reported on fire in a driveway at a home on the 100 block.
Coast Highway: At 1:18 p.m., a man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Aliso Creek.
Ocean Avenue: At 2:51 a.m., smoke was reported coming out of a garage of a home under construction, but no fire was present, on the 2000 block.
THURSDAY
Emerald Bay: At 11:06 p.m., a pillow fire was reported extinguished on the 500 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 9:08 p.m., a woman reported that another woman had thrown a drink in her face at a hotel on the 1200 block.
Santa Rosa Court: At 6:02 p.m., $4,200 in bad checks were reported by someone on the 100 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 2:50 p.m., a tip jar with about $20 was reported taken from a coffee shop on the 1800 block.
Nyes Place: At 11:51 a.m., between $500 and $1,000 in petty cash was reported stolen from a home office on the 100 block.
Cliff Drive: At 11:37 a.m., an encampment of homeless people was reported in Heisler Park on the 500 block.
WEDNESDAY
So. Coast Highway: At 8:41 p.m., two New Mexico residents, a man and woman, were arrested on suspicion of stealing cash from the till of a restaurant on the 300 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 2:01 p.m., a room was reported vandalized at a hotel on the 1600 block.
Bluebird Canyon Drive: At 12:30 p.m., a home burglary was reported on the 700 block.
Bluebird Canyon Drive: At 9:21 a.m., $1,000 was reported taken from a bank account using the stolen PIN number of a victim on the 1300 block.
Park Avenue: At 9:24 a.m., the theft of a Nissan Pathfinder was reported from a driveway on the 400 block.
