Concordia 81, Vanguard 72

IRVINE — The Lions outscored the Eagles in the second half, but still lost the Golden State Athletic Conference game at Concordia University Tuesday.

Guard Greg Gusiff led four Lions in double figures with 18 points, hitting five-of-seven three-pointers. Vanguard forward Matt Davis scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Greg Scott and Brian Roberts had 14 and 12 points, respectively for the Lions (4-9, 1-3 in conference).

Vanguard will play host to Westmont Saturday night at 7:30.
