To help Newport Beach restaurant managers navigate their way to the Web, the Newport Beach Restaurant Assn. is having an official launch of an online reservation system the organization has successfully tested for the last two months.

Every established restaurant in the city is eligible to be featured on the www.newportbeachdining.com’s online reservation system. With a click, diners can see information about each eatery, including prices and the restaurant’s theme.

The larger launch, which the association wanted to do in conjunction with the Newport Beach Restaurant Week, comes after the association tested the software with five restaurants.

In the last week or so, about 30 restaurants joined the original five who participated in the test-run, said Peggy Fort, a Newport Beach Restaurant Assn. spokeswoman.

Restaurant owners must pay $1 per reservation made through the website, Fort said. There is no charge to the user.
