RETAIL ROUNDUP:Mall plans to open two H&M; stores

Newport-Mesa is a hot spot for retail and fashion, and South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island are arguably on the forefront of fashion trends in Southern California. The major push recently has been attracting area-exclusive stores to each center, each successful in the feat last year.

In 2006, South Coast Plaza opened a dozen stores, 11 of which were exclusive to Orange County. In the next year, South Coast Plaza will welcome the first H&M; stores in Orange County, with one on each side of the center, according to shopping center representatives.

A BIT OF PAMPERING
