UCI will hold its annual march in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., starting at the Cross Cultural Center on Ring Road at noon and continuing around the campus. The event will end with a rally outside the administration building. Call (949) 824-2001 for information.

THURSDAY

Charles Ogletree, an author and Harvard law professor, will give the keynote address at UCI’s 23rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Symposium. His speech, titled “Dr. King’s Dream: Are We Fulfilling It?,” begins at 7 p.m. in the Crystal Cove Auditorium. The event is free, but call (949) 824-4782 for reservations.

FRIDAY

Singers from the Tustin Playhouse will present “From the Shtetl to Broadway,” a program of songs with humanitarian and civil rights themes, at Temple Isaiah, 2401 Irvine Ave., Newport Beach.
