LAGUNA HILLS — Newport Harbor High senior heavyweight Brian Beaudette lost, 10-5, to Panos Papadopoulos of Los Alamitos in the Orange County All-Star match Monday at Laguna Hills High.

The meet featured the top two in the county rankings at each weight class.

Beaudette lost to Papadopoulos in mid-December, 10-3. They square off again in Thursday’s Sunset League dual meet.

NEWPORT COAST — Sophomore Stephanie Garrison had 16 points and 11 rebounds, both career highs, to lead the Lightning in the Academy League game Saturday.

Garrison converted 12 of 14 free-throw attempts to help Sage improve to 7-11, 2-2 in league.

Senior Kaitlin Tyre added 13 points and nine rebounds for the winners.
