FALLON EARNS HONOR

Indiana University freshman Taylor Fallon, a Corona del Mar High product, was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Women’s Soccer All-Rookie second team.

Fallon played in 19 of Indiana’s 20 contests on the year, including 10 starts, while playing both defender and midfield on the right side. Fallon had one assist, setting up a game-tying goal with 8:04 remaining in the Hoosier’s 1-1 tie with Baylor on Sept. 1.

Indiana finished the 2006 season with a 9-7-4 overall record and a 5-4-1 mark in Big Ten play, finishing third in the regular season.

AYSO Region 120 is holding its 2007 Spring registration Jan. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at Tewinkle School’s Boswell Hall in Costa Mesa. Athletes can also sign up Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.
