Laguna Beach 2, Costa Mesa 0LAGUNA BEACH — Mustangs Coach Dan Johnston said his team had numerous opportunities but could not finish as Costa Mesa lost for the first time in Orange Coast League play Tuesday.

Johnston added that many of his players were injured during the game, with senior Alaina Abalos possibly breaking her ankle, which would end her season.

The Mustangs fell to 8-7-6, 2-1-1 in league.

Calvary Chapel 2, Estancia 1COSTA MESA — Taylor West scored for Estancia to help avoid the shutout in its Orange Coast League loss Tuesday at Orange Coast College.

Estancia, which dropped to 7-8-3, 0-3-1 in league, will play host to Laguna Beach Thursday at 3 p.m.
