SAN LUIS OBISPO — For the second time in three days, the Pirates’ bullpen let a lead slip away as the host Cougars scored the game-winner in the eighth inning Sunday to claim the rubber game of a three-game nonconference series.

OCC starter Keith Rizor allowed four hits in six innings and exited with a 3-2 lead.

But Cuesta (2-1) scored single runs in the seventh and eighth to prevail.

Sophomore first baseman Eric Oliver was three for five with two RBIs and one run for the Pirates (1-2).

OCC designated hitter David Siler went two for four.

OCC is at home Thursday against Western Nevada.
