CITY FOCUS:Miss H.B. is crowned

Erin Nicole Britt has won this year’s Miss Huntington Beach scholarship.

Britt, 23, won after her fourth time in the running. The winner was announced at the Feb. 3 pageant in the Huntington Beach High School auditorium.

Kay Butler, 17, won first runner-up, and Karissa Joi Kent, 20, was second runner-up.

This year, for the first time, pageant watchers were able to vote online. Chelsea Cepek, 17, was voted Most Popular in the online vote, which was sponsored by Whata Lotta Pizza. The pageant drew 14 competitors.

At the end of June, Britt will compete in the Miss California competition.
