    High school and college drill teams from across the country will be competing in the Southern California Invitational Drill Meet, sponsored by the Air Force ROTC detachment of the University of Southern California. The meet will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach.     The Assistance League of Huntington Beach is participating in a “Trade In, Trade Up,” promotion with the Huntington Beach Stein Mart, 19041 Beach Blvd., to raise funds for the League’s Bargain Box thrift store located at 8071 Slater Ave. Proceeds from the thrift store help support community projects. Assistance League members will collect the clothing dropped off at Stein Mart, and contributors will receive a 20% discount coupon from Stein Mart for each donated item (limit of 4 coupons).

    The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum, 411 Olive Ave., presents its newest exhibit, SurFin’, a Direction of the Sport, the first time a collection of surfboard fins has been available for public viewing.
