Gloria Jean (Frey) Ruffalo

July 20, 1922—February 24, 2007

Gloria was born to Alfred and Flora Frey on July 20, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. After marrying Donald D. Ruffalo in 1946, they moved to Glendale, California where Gloria was an active member of the Glendale Memorial Hospital as a volunteer. Following the death of their younger son, Robert Scott in 1997, Donald and Gloria relocated to Newport Coast to be closer their remaining son, Richard and family. In addition to her husband, Donald, there were seven highlights in Gloria’s life: her sons, Richard and Robert, and her five grandsons: Michael Joseph, Jonathan Joseph, Jeffrey Charles (JC), Matthew Ryan, and Justin Kristopher. She will be dearly missed by her son, Richard and wife, Susan, and daughter-in-law, Linda Ruffalo as well as numerous friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Richard Ruffalo Family Home. In lieu of flowers, Gloria would prefer donations made to the Scleroderma Foundation or Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian Cancer Center.
