Estancia 206,COSTA MESA — Junior Andrew Ayala was medalist for the Eagles, shooting one-over-par 37 to lead Estancia to a nonleague win Thursday at Mesa Verde Country Club.

Ryan Knapp shot a 39 for the Eagles (3-0), and Kyle Jones (42), Storm Hagen (44) and Pat Flannery (44) also scored. Estancia is at the Rancho Cucamonga tournament on Monday at Empire Lakes Golf Course.

Dana Hill 190,LAGUNA NIGUEL — The Sailors posted a solid score in windy conditions, but still fell to the Dolphins in a nonleague match Thursday at El Niguel Country Club.

Bryce Greeley led the Sailors (1-2) with a one-over par 37. Andrew Skjonsby (40), Justin Morehead (41), Chase Behr (41) and Dalton Shane (44) each scored for Newport Harbor.

Sage Hill 14, Oxford Academy 4CYPRESS — The Lightning picked up sweeps by two singles players and two doubles team to easily take their Academy League opener Thursday.

Sophomore Kevin Wang and freshman Alex Coeberle each swept their singles sets for Sage Hill (1-1, 1-0 in league). The tandem of senior Robert Wee and sophomore Troy Astorino swept their three sets, dropping only three games in the process. Senior Robert Schauss and junior Grant Gerdau swept as well.
