Spartan InvitationalSAN JOSE — UC Irvine sits in fourth place after the first day of the Spartan Invitational held at the Alamaden Country Club Monday.

The Anteaters shot a 36-hole total of 598 (297-301) Monday to place fourth heading into the final 18 holes today.

Host San Jose State leads the 14-team field with a five-over 581.

UCI junior Selanee Henderson tied her season low with a 69, the best score of the first round and sits in second place (140).
