Caridad P. Fogarty

May 28, 1910 – March 5, 2007

Caridad Pajarito Fogarty passed peacefully away March 5th at her home in Costa Mesa, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Carrie was born in the Philippines which is where she met and married Ray L Fogarty, an American serviceman. She came to America with her husband and children in 1949 and settled in Costa Mesa. Carrie loved to garden and work in her yard, where everything flourished at her loving touch. Her home was often described as “the one with the sugarcane”. Her deep and abiding faith in God, perseverance and hard work were instilled in her children, who helped her attain her goal of citizenship. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband Ray L. Fogarty Sr. and daughter Nancy Robbins. She is survived by her children William, Cathy, Ray Jr., Patrick, Carrie, and their families. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2007. Carrie will be greatly missed by the countless lives she has touched.
