    “The Cripple of Inishmaan,” the story of a young man trying to break free of the restrictions on his body and the boredom of his life, will be on stage at the Golden West College Mainstage Theater, 15744 Goldenwest St., Huntington Beach. In this play intended for mature audiences, Cripple Billy is determined to be its star when a Hollywood director comes to a neighboring Irish island to begin filming his movie.     Ocean lifeguard tryouts for the city of Huntington Beach will take place at 8 a.m. at Lifeguard Headquarters, 103 Pacific Coast Highway.     The Assistance League of Huntington Beach is participating in a “Trade In, Trade Up,” promotion with the Huntington Beach Stein Mart, 19041 Beach Blvd., to raise funds for the League’s Bargain Box thrift store located at 8071 Slater Ave. Proceeds from the thrift store help support community projects. Assistance League members will collect the clothing dropped off at Stein Mart, and contributors will receive a 20% discount coupon from Stein Mart for each donated item (limit of 4 coupons).

    LIMITED ENGAGEMENTS

    The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum, 411 Olive Ave., presents its newest exhibit, SurFin’, a Direction of the Sport, the first time a collection of surfboard fins has been available for public viewing.
