Locals land on Sunset boys’ basketball team

Six local players have been named to the 2007 All-Sunset League boys’ basketball team.

Seventeen players comprise the team, which was selected by the league’s six coaches.

Edison guard Kyle Boswell was the lone freshman named to the squad and was part of the six-player first team. He is joined on the team by Marina guard Garrett James, the only sophomore to be named all-league.

Locals named to the second team include Edison senior guard Corey Ferraro and junior guard Eric Ferraro, as well as Marina senior guard Mike Kinoshita.

The three-player honorable mention team included Marina senior forward Troy Lewis.

Clint Amberry and Cameron Jones of league champion Los Alamitos shared the MVP award.
