COSTA MESA PLANNING COMMISSION PREVIEW
Here are some items the Planning Commission will consider today.
MIXED USE PROJECTTwo lots on Harbor Boulevard and one on Hamilton Street would become a mixed-use development with several retail tenants and 14 homes, if the commission agrees.
Before building the project, the owner would demolish an auto repair shop at 2089 Harbor Blvd. and remodel a medical building at 2099 Harbor Blvd. The lot at 511 Hamilton St. is already vacant.
The property would need to be rezoned, and the City Council also must vote on the project.
WHAT TO EXPECT
City planners recommend approval.
MEDICAL BUILDINGThe owners of the Pacific Medical Plaza, a 76,200-square-foot building on Newport Boulevard that is nearly completed, wants to sell each of the tenant spaces separately. The commission will decide whether to allow the subdivision.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Planning staff members recommend allowing the division of the units for individual sale.
