WILSON INDUCTED TODAY

Vanguard University’s Bob Wilson will be inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame today at the NAIA Division I men’s basketball national championships in Kansas City, Mo.

Wilson, the Vanguard athletic director, retired from coaching after the 2005-06 men’s basketball season. He coached for nearly a half century, finishing with a 385-357 overall record while coaching at Vanguard, the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and Phillips University in Enid, Okla.

Wilson, who has been involved with NAIA athletics for more than 30 years, is considered the only head coach in history to take three universities to four NAIA Tournaments.
