CHABAD FUNDRAISER

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

A reception for Earth Day founder John McConnell will be held at Endangered Planet Gallery, 384 Forest Ave., Suite 13, at 3 p.m. At 4:45 p.m., the gathering moves to Main Beach (or will stay at the gallery in case of bad weather) to mark the official time of the equinox, which occurs at 5:07 p.m. The gathering will then proceed to City Hall at 5:45 p.m. in time for the 6 p.m. council meeting and a proclamation.

The Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts will hold its first annual Art Star Awards at (seven-degrees), 891 Laguna Canyon Road, at 6:30 p.m. The event is by invitation only.

The Mom’s Group at Laguna Presbyterian Church, 415 Forest Ave. meets Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and is for mothers of young children to discuss parenting issues, family traditions and relationships.
