Corona del Mar man receives award

Corona del Mar resident Tom Schriber will be inducted into the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce and South Coast Metro Alliance’s hall of fame March 30 for his work at Donahue Schriber and in the community.

The annual hall of fame awards recognize businesses and business leaders for their corporate leadership and community outreach each year.

Donahue Schriber operates more than 80 shopping centers around California, Arizona and Nevada and has developed more than 17 million square feet of retail space.

Schriber and the company established the Donahue Center, which serves at-risk children in Santa Ana with an after-school program.

The center also benefits Orange County Rescue Mission’s House of Hope. Donahue Schriber also works with Orangewood Children’s Foundation’s Guardian Scholars program at Cal State Fullerton.

The event will be at the Hilton Orange County in Costa Mesa.
