Zach Zarnow, 23, a resident of Costa Mesa, has been accepted into the Peace Corps and will be a youth development volunteer in Ukraine.

Zarnow is a graduate of Newport Harbor High School and graduated from Brandeis University in Massachusetts last year.

Zarnow will live with a host family in a Ukrainian community until he is proficient enough in the language and culture of the area to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer. He will remain in that host community for two years.

Newport Beach resident Eric Neff made the dean’s list at Emory College in Atlanta for the 2006 fall semester.
