Orange Coast League finalsLAGUNA BEACH — Estancia High’s Bradley Fisher won the singles title with a 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 6-0 victory over the Eagles’ Danny O’Neil Wednesday at Laguna Beach High.
Both advance to the CIF Individuals May 18. Fisher defeated Calvary Chapel’s Alex Grosec, 6-0, 6-4, in a semifinal and O’Neil moved on by beating Estancia’s Ely Zaidler, 6-4, 6-0. The Eagles’ doubles team of Chris Koreerat and Nick Oliver finished fourth in league.
Pacific Coast League finalsIRVINE — The Corona del Mar High doubles teams of Fabian Matthews and Dustin Hladek, Hootan Mehr and Brent Pham, and Parker Rhodes and Josh Kim all advanced to today’s semifinals at University High with quarterfinal wins Wednesday.
No. 1-seeded Matthews and Hladek defeated Wesley Yu and Sang Song of University, 6-0, 6-0, in a quarterfinal.
Rhodes and Kim beat Leon Yamamoto and Richard Sun of University, 6-2, 6-4, in the quarters.
In singles, CdM’s Chris Damion beat Michael Tang of University, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4, in the quarterfinals. Damion plays No. 1-seeded Jason Lin of University in today’s singles semifinals. The Sea Kings’ Ryan Peyton lost in the quarterfinals to No. 2-seeded John Huang of University, 6-0, 6-0.
Sunset League finalsSEAL BEACH — Daron Arnold and Connor Curry of Newport Harbor High advanced to today’s tournament semifinals with a quarterfinal win Wednesday at Seal Beach Tennis Center.
Arnold and Curry beat Duong and Noah of Los Alamitos, 8-1, in a first-round pro-set before topping Kevin Saenz and Michael Chu of Fountain Valley, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, in a quarterfinal. The Tars’ other doubles entry, McKenna Duley and Taylor Friend, lost in the quarterfinals to Timmy Kuan and Simon Ho of Esperanza, 6-3, 6-4.
In singles, Josh Tuz of Newport Harbor beat Brendan Nguyen of Edison in the first round, 8-2, before falling to Andrew Frisk of Los Alamitos, 6-0, 6-0, in the second round. The Sailors’ Casey Cordeiro lost a first-round match, 8-1.
BOYS’ GOLF
Newport Harbor 376,CHINO HILLS — Newport Harbor advanced to the CIF tournament as a team after defeating Marina in a playoff match, and four Sailors are still alive after the first day of the Sunset League championships at Los Serranos Golf North Course Wednesday.

Newport Harbor’s Andrew Skjonsby shot an even-par 72, tying him for third place going into the second day, which starts today at noon on the North course. Bryce Greeley, Justin Morehead and Michael Clark each shot 75s for the Sailors, making the cut of 12 moving on from the first day.
The top five individuals today will advance to CIF individual tournament at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach. Newport Harbor joined Edison and Los Alamitos as the only three teams out of the league to qualify for the CIF team tournament.
Academy League finalsLAGUNA NIGUEL — Geoff Grant and James Chai shot an 83 and 86, respectively, for Sage Hill at the par-72 El Niguel Country Club on Tuesday, earning them All-Academy League honors.
Grant and Chai had both shot rounds of 76 at the first day on Monday at San Clemente Municipal Golf Course.
Grant finished with a two-day total of 159, for fourth place in league, while Chai finished with a total of 162 for fifth place. Both narrowly missed moving on to the CIF individual tournament by finishing in the top three spots in league.
Pacific Coast LeagueBONSALL — Corona del Mar High’s Taylor Keddington shot four-over-par 76 and David Su carded a 77 to qualify second and third, respectively Wednesday at San Luis Rey Downs Golf Resort & Country Club.

BASEBALL
Corona del Mar 11, Cerritos 5Corona del Mar 9, Cerritos 5COSTA MESA — Charlie Albright recorded his first career hit, finishing five for eight with four RBIs in the Sea Kings’ first doubleheader of the year Wednesday at TeWinkle Park.
Corona del Mar pitcher Andrew Watt (2-0) won both games. He pitched three innings of relief in the first, and in the second, he started and lasted four innings. He combined to strikeout six and allow three runs and five hits.
Michael Ford went four for seven with two RBIs for CdM (18-6), which will wrap up the regular season at home against University Friday at 3:15 p.m. with a chance to claim at least a share of the Pacific Coast League title for the second straight year.
The Sea Kings need to win in order to possibly share the title with Laguna Hills, which has three league games left.

Estancia 16, Costa Mesa 1COSTA MESA — Taylor Brown went four for five with three RBIs, a double and a run to help lead the Eagles to a Orange Coast League mercy-rule win that ended in five innings Wednesday at Costa Mesa High.
Taylor West was three for four with a home run, one RBI and one run, Courtney Ulrich was four for four with three RBIs and Lina You was three for three with three runs and a walk for Estancia (16-6, 6-0 in league).
The Mustangs dropped to 10-8, 2-4.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Costa Mesa def. EstanciaCOSTA MESA — The Mustangs came back from a 2-1 deficit to beat Estancia, 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17, 15-12, in both teams’ season finales Wednesday at Estancia.
Costa Mesa Coach Gray Bailey said Scott Neslage, Wakka Leatigaga, Garrett Frazier and Jeff Dye all played well for the Mustangs (6-12, 3-6 in league).
For Estancia, Kyle Prevel had 16 kills and 14 digs. Tyler Sullivan had a team-high 17 assists for the Eagles (3-18, 0-9), Barry Fryslie had 15 assists and seven kills, Bradley Reitler had 10 kills and Ly Nguyen had 16 digs and seven kills.
