Joyce Blackwell Crane

loving wife of 50 years to the late Theodore J. Crane, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 5, 2007. Born on August 3, 1930 in British Columbia, Joyce moved to California in 1938. She attended South Pasadena-San Marino High School and graduated from Occidental College, where she earned her teaching credential and was a member of Delta Omicron Tau. Joyce taught in public school and was a director for Head Start. Joyce is survived by her four devoted daughters - Betsy (Steve) Johnson, Stephanie (George) Sakioka, Margaret (Steve) Alexander, and Susan (David) Vickery. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren – Jennifer, Sarah, Lauren, Margaret, Eric, Mark, Sophia and Robert. She is also survived by her sister, Joan McCarthy. Services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 11am at Pacific View in Corona del Mar.
