Male:Bradley Fisher, Estancia High junior

Bradley Fisher knew all along that the No. 1 singles spot on the Estancia High boys’ tennis team would be his this season, after spending last year at No. 2 singles.

Fisher took the top spot and ran with it. He lost just one set in the Orange Coast League and led the Eagles to the league championship, their second straight after going undefeated in the Golden West League last year.

He also won the league singles title, beating teammate Danny O’Neil, 6-7 (4-7), 7-5, 6-0, on May 2 at Laguna Beach High.

The Eagles host Morro Bay today at 3 p.m. in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs.
