Bulldogs pass Hornets

The Bulldogs led from start to finish in their Howe Division meeting with the Hornets Tuesday and took the high-scoring affair, 9-6, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Chris Theriault netted a match-high four goals for the Bulldogs.

Kyle Christi had a goal and three assists, Ethan Higbee and Chris Martinez each had a goal and two assists, Max McDaniel had a goal and assist, Shane Williams scored once and Zack McDaniel had an assist.

Emmett Jaeger had 24 saves.

Brandon White scored twice with an assist to lead the Hornets on offense.

James Shramek scored once with an assist, Alan Plummer, John Findley and Austin Salisbury each scored a goal and Savannah Patton and Braxton Greco had assists.

Sean Mastro had 21 saves.

In other Howe Division action:

Blue Diamonds 4, The Meatballs 3

The Blue Diamonds scored three goals in the final period to edge The Meatballs.

Marcus Kurth scored twice, Kyle Skitco and Lukas Welinder both scored once and Tanner Chang, Conner Reeves and Cameron Ciantar had assists for the Blue Diamonds. Jack Miller had 25 saves.

Kristian Burkhardt scored two of The Meatballs’ three goals, Matthew Oyakawa scored the other and Ethan Loy, John Churilla and Daniel Burkhardt had assists. Blake Walker had 25 saves.

In Jr. High Division action:

Marine View 6, Valley Christian 2

Dylan Miller posted three goals and Marina View led all the way in defeating Valley Christian.

The rest of the offense consisted of a goal and four assists by Zane Weber, a goal and assist by Connor Cal Lathrope, a goal by Luke Loggins and an assist by Troy Loggins.

Jack Miller finished with 18 saves.

Colin Beisel scored and Tyler Schultz had two assists for Valley Christian.

In the Mix 7, Dwyer 1

Jacob Sabraw and Zachary Beko each scored three goals to lead In the Mix past the Dwyer Oilers.

Dylan Rodriguez scored once and assisted three other goals, Beko also had an assist and Joshua Fowler finished with 23 saves for In the Mix.

Garrett Haar’s two goals paced a Dwyer scoring attack that saw Dallas Heyden, Zach Gillespie and Brice Rivera all score and Rivera and Parker Costin had assists.
