Three-year varsity letterman in wrestling, qualifying for the state meet as a heavyweight in 2007; All-Newport Mesa area selection in football as a junior and senior; also selected to North-South Orange County All-Star game; plans to attend Southern Methodist University, where he’ll try out as a walk-on for football in the fall.

Swam varsity four years and played varsity water polo for three; in water polo, was team captain his senior year and some of his accolades include first team All-CIF Division I, third-team All-American, and MVP for CdM; will continue his water polo career at UC Berkeley.

Will compete in cross country and track and field at UC Berkeley; member of Newport Harbor’s CIF championship cross country team in 2005 and CIF state runner-up in 2005 and 2006; third place in league in 1,600 as a junior and senior; part of Assistant League for Newport Mesa.

Named Sunset League Defensive Player of the Year for 2006 and earned first-team, all-league honors in football; also selected first-team All-CIF PAC-5 Division as a senior and All-CIF Division VI as a junior; selected to Daily Pilot Dream Team as a junior and senior; selected to North-South Orange County All-Star game.
Jillian ChiapuzioNewport Harbor
Will play water polo at Cal and major in psychology; named Newport Harbor’s Most Improved Player as a senior; earned second-team All-CIF Division I honors as a senior; earned first-team All-Sunset League laurels as a senior; scored game-winning goal to lead team to CIF semifinals.
Kelly ChristianCorona del Mar
A member of the Daily Pilot Dream Team in volleyball; maintained a 3.8 GPA, while excelling in volleyball; Team captain, team MVP, Pacific Coast League MVP, and first-team All CIF; will continue her volleyball career at the University of Washington.

Three-year letterwinner in volleyball and track and field; Named team captain for 2007 and received the Coaches’ Award in 2006; qualified for Nike Outdoor Nationals in 2007 ;earned a Top-15 “Academic All-Stars”, was a President of the National Honor Society, and a AP Scholar. Plans to attend Brigham Young University.
Sarah CummingsCorona del Mar
An All-American at Nike Outdoor Nationals, competed in cross country and track while achieving a 4.4 GPA; Pacific Coast League Individual champion, meet record holder, and a member of championship team; won the 3,200 meters for CIF Division III; will continue her cross country and track and field career at Princeton University.
Jill DamionCorona del Mar
Member of undefeated CIF Division I girls tennis championship team; named as Daily Pilot Athlete of the Week; notched a 4.0 GPA and earned a full athletic scholarship to UC Santa Barbara; advanced to semifinals of CIF Individuals doubles as a senior.

A swimming Olympic trails qualifier in the 200-meter breaststroke race as a freshman; will compete at the University of Arizona; was a junior national champion; finished second 200-yard freestyle CIF Division I; CIF Division II 100 breaststroke record holder and champion; also champion in the 200 individual medley.

Named team MVP for football; was the academic team MVP for his 3.8 GPA; broke four team records and is a National Football Hall of Fame Orange County Scholar; will play at Georgetown University in the fall; was Daily Pilot Player of the Year as a senior.
Dustin HladekCorona del Mar
With teammate Fabian Matthews won the 2006 CIF Division I doubles title and the Ojai doubles championship in 2007; Named to first team All-CIF doubles and selected as team MVP; two-year letterman in tennis; will attend Indiana University in the fall where he will continue his tennis career.
Blake HockenburyNewport Harbor
Will play water polo at USC and plans to major in business; Named second-team All-CIF Division I and All-Sunset League as a senior; also a member of the 2006 Southern Orange County All-Star team; a three-year varsity water polo player.
Thomas HutchisonCorona del Mar
Named team captain his junior and senior years for cross country and received the Coach’s award both years; For track, was varsity for three years and received the Coach’s award his junior year. He will take his 4.4 GPA to run cross country and track at Harvard University.
Kathryn IndvikCorona del Mar
Named to the junior national team for water polo and was on the junior Olympics All-American Team; also swam four years on varsity and was a CIF finalist; she will take her 3.5 GPA to play water polo at USC; led CdM in goals her senior year and was named Pacific Coast League MVP.
Jacob LemmermanCorona del Mar
A four-year varsity letterman, playing shortstop on the baseball team; team Captain and rookie of the year; earned first-team All-CIF Division III honors as a junior; He will take his 3.8 GPA and continue his career at Duke University.
Melissa MeadNewport Harbor
Named most valuable runner and a captain senior year for cross country and track. Was a member of the Honor Roll all four years and earned an athletic and academic scholarship at Iona College in New York; part of Newport Harbor’s cross country team that finished second in Division II at the state meet.
Bryce McLainNewport Harbor
Will play water polo at Pepperdine in the fall; earned first-team All-CIF Division I honors as a senior and second-team laurels as a junior; named co-MVP of the Sunset League; as a goalie led Newport Harbor with 164 saves, averaging nearly seven per game.
Allyssa PetersonNewport Harbor
Named MVP senior year for water polo; picked up first-team all-league honors and first-team All-CIF honors as a senior; was a member of the Daily Pilot Dream Team and was on the honor roll all four years. Plans to attend UC Berkeley to play water polo.

David was a medalist at the Pacific Coast League for golf and carried the lowest scoring average in the history of Corona Del Mar; named team captain and Pacific Coast League MVP; He takes his 3.6 GPA to Claremont-McKenna College.
