NCAA West RegionalEUGENE, Ore. — UC Irvine’s Lauren Collins finished ninth in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 7 1/4 inches Friday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Ricky Barnes finished third in his heat of the 1500 meters with a time of 3:43.97 to advance to today’s final. Napoleon Greene stumbled on the 10th hurdle in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles and finished in 55.70, not advancing to today’s final.

Alisha Misiata placed 21st in the women’s shot put with a mark of 45-5 1/4 .

WOMENS’ GOLF

NCAA ChampionshipDaytona Beach, Fla. — The UC Irvine women’s golf team finished 19th at the LPGA International Golf Course Friday.

The Anteaters shot a final round of 308 and ended the tournament with a 72 hole total of 1,241 (303-314-316-308) for 19th place. Duke won the title with a score of 1,170, 15 shots ahead of second place Purdue.

Selanee Henderson led UCI with a 40th place finish, carding a 304 (69-80-76-79) over 72 holes. Patty Chawalitmetha was 69th at 310 (76-79-80-75), Kim Lorenzana was 72nd with a four-day total of (79- 77-81-74), Jane Chin placed 106th with a score of 323 (83-78-79-83) and freshman Henna Cho was 117th with a (79-84-86-80) total.

WOMEN’S SAILING

National ChampionshipNORFOLK, Va. — The UC Irvine women’s sailing team finished sixth in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) National Championship that concluded Friday on the Elizabeth River at Norfolk, Va.

Saint Mary’s won the 18-school competition with a three-day total of 132 points over 32 races. UCI scored 227.
