In the division championship final, the Bombers raced to an 8-1 lead and went on to win the title.

Indiana Boes pitched to all but four batters in notching the win. Boes, Tamara McGuff, Hannah Wilson (two hits), Delaney Hallstrom and Ally Villa all had RBIs for the Bombers.

Bombers Coach DeeAndra McGuff said that Boes made her “first true” pitching debut at the tournament.

“She’s been waiting for this opportunity for quite some time,” McGuff said of Boes who pitched 24 of the 28 innings the Bombers played and struck out 49 and walked 12 of the 103 batters she faced in 10 games.

“All of the girls did a terrific job. The best thing I really enjoyed, was that the girls really listened to what I asked of them. We had two days of practice to get this team in place before the tournament, and they all pulled together.”
