The annual award recognizes businesses that have built and fostered relationships with the arts community. Arts organizations, businesses or individuals may nominate a business for the award in four categories.
The categories are First Time, Return, Distinguished Achievement and Lifetime Achievement, which is given at the judges’ discretion and includes a hall-of-fame distinction.
An Arts Award will be given to an arts organization that partnered with a business that planned for funding and program excellence.

E-mail scam claims IRS is investigating recipientThe IRS warned computer users that there’s a new e-mail scam that could lead people to think they are under investigation by the IRS’s criminal investigation division.
The e-mail claims the recipient is under investigation for submitting a fraudulent tax return to the California Franchise Tax Board and tells the person to click on a link in the phony e-mail. But according to the IRS, the link and attachment are a Trojan Horse virus that could allow someone to remotely access the computer’s hard drive.
The IRS does not send out unsolicited e-mails and the agency warned people to not open the link or attachment if they receive a similar e-mail.
Computer users who receive an e-mail that claims to be from the IRS should forward the e-mail without clicking on links or attachments, to phishing@irs.gov.
