HOCKEY:Kings finish fast in win over Flyers

The Kings spotted the Flyers a 1-0 lead then went on to score the final four goals of the Norris Division match and went on to record a 4-1 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Nicholas Thompson scored off an assist from Brent Rudy in the opening period to lift the Flyers to 1-0 lead. From there, though, the Kings defense and goalie Tyler Gealy wouldn’t allow another goal.

The Kings drew even in the second period when Tyler McLuckey scored off an assist from Jake Shaylor. A three-goal third period was the difference in the match, as Alex Buyen scored before Drew Truxaw netted the final two goals to account for the final margin.

Gealy finished with 17 saves.

In other Norris Division action:

Slashers 5, SWAT 4

The Slashers held off a fourth period charge by SWAT to post the win.

Alexander Gomez and Garrett Zolg each scored twice and Kaden Bruner scored once for the Slashers. Gomez, Bruner and Ryan Osterkamp each had an assist and Tanner Chang recorded 25 saves.

Trenton Shehan and Kyle Kowalski each had two goals for SWAT. Dylan Rodriguez had 17 saves.

Hot Shotz 3, Falcons 2

Brayden Moore, Mitchell Sprague and Alexander Taros scored goals as the Hot Shotz held off the Falcons.

Moore and Ryan Sprague each had assists.

Savannah Patton had 19 saves.

Aaron Maccabi scored both goals for the Falcons and Caden Thompson had an assist.

Thomas Wirth recorded 32 saves.

Breakers 5, Stars 2

The Breakers outscored the Stars by two goals in the final period to pull away to the win.

Chris Pabitzky provided the Breakers with all of their scoring as he netted all five goals. Mackie Albertson and Connor Mellema had assists and Jesse Mellema 10 saves.

Aaron Cree scored both Stars goals and Aaron Maccabi had an assist.
