Less than a week until Mr. Irrelevant’s arrival

Ramzee Robinson, the NFL’s final draft pick and Mr. Irrelevant XXXII, will make his first appearance in Newport Beach on Monday at the Arrival Party at the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce.

At the party will be a press conference, but Robinson, a cornerback who was drafted by the Detroit Lions, has already been practicing.

Robinson’s take on the Anaheim Ducks?

“I think it is a great thing to receive the ultimate goal of a team,” said Robinson, who’s also known as Bino. “It would be even more exciting to be on the team that was the first to do it. Those guys got their ultimate dream.”

Robinson has great respect for hockey players. But, if Robinson doesn’t make the Lions’ squad, don’t expect him to try out for hockey.

“It would be embarrassing to see me ice skate,” he said. “Half those guys don’t have any teeth. I don’t want that! I would like to see the Stanley Cup Trophy.”
