Volunteers needed for Breakers Stadium matches

The Newport Beach Breakers of World Team Tennis will play seven home matches at the new Breakers Stadium at the Newport Beach Country Club on July 6, 7, 10, 15, 16, 22 and 25.

Pete Sampras, Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams and John McEnroe are Breakers team members and will be competing.

Net proceeds from the 2007 season will benefit the Hoag Hospital Foundation and other Orange County charities.

All matches will start at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help with duties, including admissions/ will call, corporate hospitality, scoring and transportation, and are required to work a minimum of three home matches.

To help offset the cost of the package provided to each volunteer, a $25 fee will be charged. The volunteer package includes a polo shirt, preferred parking, concession vouchers and discounts on season tickets.
